Cosentini’s Springfield Data Center project in Massachusetts, completed with TRO/Jung Brannen, has been certified LEED Gold. The Center supports more than 170 agencies and public authorities as a 24/7/365 facility supporting mission-critical functions, and is the primary information technology disaster recovery site for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Innovative system design features include custom air handlers for high energy efficiency, diesel rotary UPS to eliminate racks of batteries, and a water mist fire suppression system in the computer rooms.
