Mr.
Mass joined Cosentini Associates in 1983. His mechanical engineering
experience spans over twenty-five years and includes such
project types as high-rise office buildings, mixed-use developments,
educational facilities, tenant interiors and mission critical
data centers and trading installations. He is nationally known
as an expert in sustainable design and in the integration
of under-floor delivery systems for air, power and voice/data
into commercial projects. He has lectured extensively on these
and other innovative engineering topics for conferences sponsored
by such organizations as the American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers; the American
Institute of Architects; and the Department of State's Energy
2001 and 2002 symposia. He has guest taught at Columbia University's
School of Architecture and has spoken numerous times for New
York City's Economic Development Corporation on such topics
as "High Performance Green Buildings" and "New
York State Tax Incentives for Green Design." Mr. Mass's
has written for The New York Times, Corporate
Real Estate Executive, Facilities Design and Management,
and the New York Real Estate Journal. Mr. Mass earned
his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brown
University, and he is a licensed mechanical engineer in 25
U.S. states. He is a member of the American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers; Tau Beta Pi,
the National Engineering Honor Society; the American Society
of Pharmaceutical Engineers; and the Society of American Military
Engineers.
