Ms.
Malak, who has over 12 years experience, oversees the design
and management of the firm's lighting design projects. She
also serves as a liaison between Cosentini's lighting design
and MEP engineering teams.
Prior
to joining Cosentini in 2004, Ms. Malak enjoyed a career that
included lighting design as well as lighting product and industrial
design. Her lighting design experience includes the design
of systems for numerous corporate, hospitality, retail, residential
and cultural projects. As President of Things That Swing,
Inc., of Brooklyn, NY, she designed custom lighting products
for architectural, theatrical and film industry applications,
as well as for themed environments. Some of these products
include interior and exterior fixtures, fiber optic illuminators,
imaging projectors, LEDs, large scale flood lights, HMI location
lights, dimmers, a remote-control ship light and under-water
dive lights.
Ms. Malak
received her Bachelors of Architecture from the New Jersey
Institute of Technology. Her recent experience at Cosentini
Lighting Design includes the new headquarters of Time Warner,
Inc., New York, NY; the United States House of Representatives
Tech Center Washington, DC; IBM corporate headquarters, Seoul,
Korea; several residential towers in New York and New Jersey;
the renovation of the Plaza Hotel in New York, NY; The American
Medical Association headquarters, Washington, DC; offices
and conferencing facilities for JP Morgan Chase, New York;
NY; multiple projects for Citigroup throughout New York, and
several LEED rated projects, including the new Clinton Green
residential development.
