This
project entailed core and shell and tenant fit out of
800,000 square feet for occupancy by publishing giant
Random House, Inc., as well as 203,000 square feet of
condominium space constructed above the commercial floors. The
headquarters includes a 15,000 square foot data center
for which Cosentini designed 200 tons of redundant cooling
and a multi-module parallel redundant UPS system. The
project also includes 60,000 square feet (on three levels)
of retail space. In addition to MEP/FP engineering,
Cosentini also designed all access control and monitoring
systems, incorporating technologies such as card key
access, Closed Captioned television, and 24-hour digital
recording.
