280,000 square foot courthouse is located on a 6.9 acre
site in downtown Hammond. The $48 million project contains
3 district, 2 magistrate and 2 bankruptcy courtrooms;
as well as judicial chambers; clerks’ offices;
and space for the US Marshal’s Office; US Attorney’s
Office; local Social Security Administration; and congressional
offices.
