Senior Vice President/Director of Information Technologies
Onorius joined Cosentini Information Technologies in 1997 and became its director in 2006. His career began with designing telecommunications cabling infrastructure for corporate offices and headquarters, mission-critical facilities, hotels, convention centers, high-rise residential buildings, government facilities, and cultural centers. Since then, Onorius has designed security and audiovisual systems, LAN/WAN and voice networks, provided Distributed Antennae System (DAS) performance specifications and wireless infrastructure system design. His expertise is in the convergence of technology with building systems, including but not limited to information technologies, audiovisual, security, MEP, fire protection, lighting, BMS, and building automation.
From 1999 to 2004, he served as the IT project manager for the Time Warner Center, a 2 million sf mixed-use complex in the heart of New York City. For this project, he presented an original technology business model to the developers using the size and scale of the building’s varied tenants and uses. The business model incorporated four elements - voice/data/high-speed Internet/CATV; wireless technologies; rooftop technology; and broadcast sites placed throughout the building – and gave the project the potential for additional revenue streams to offset project costs. Onorius’ work on this project earned Cosentini the 2004 ACEC Diamond Award. Onorius has a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
