Roman joined Cosentini in 2005 and directs all Quality Assurance & Technical Standards efforts. He has more than twenty years of experience in a wide variety of project types including residential and mixed-use developments, healthcare facilities, office buildings, and mission-critical facilities. Roman leads a team of quality assurance specialists to conduct project reviews, research and disseminate information about new technologies to technical staff, and update the firm’s overall technical standards.
Of particular note is his work on Shanghai Tower. He spent several months in Shanghai coordinating the electrical design and presenting design concepts to panels of Chinese experts. Reconciling the Chinese national codes, Shanghai municipal codes, and various international standards was a major project challenge.

He chairs the Electrical Code Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York - Metropolitan Region, and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the International Code Council (ICC).
